A graduate of The Whitehouse Institute of Design, Nicola has since become one of Australia’s leading costume designers and is currently making her mark in Hollywood.
Beginning as a fashion stylist, her career involved a range of work including editorial and advertising stills, runway shows, music videos and styling celebrities such as Heath Ledger, Guy Pearce and Abbie Cornish. Looking for a new challenge, Nicola decided to broaden her skill set by exploring the film industry, which she subsequently fell in love with.
She has since designed over one hundred and eighty television commercials, numerous feature films, short films and a tv series. Projects have ranged from big budget studio productions such as Rogue and Tripping Over to low budget independent films. These include the internationally acclaimed Wolf Creek, one of Australia’s most successful films to date, and the recent Blumhouse production 6 Miranda Drive, starring Kevin Bacon.
Having worked on both ends of the industry spectrum, Nicola has learnt the skills to achieve incredible results regardless of budget, time and resource constraints. This experience, combined with her fashion background and ability to design in a highly stylised context, sets Nicola apart from the rest.
Relocating from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, Nicola moved to not only explore greater career opportunities, but to also embrace a whole new life adventure.
